Raphael Saadiq has been mining this old Soul vibe for a couple of years now. The 60’s vibe of his last project had a real beautiful feel to it that he even brought to his stage show. At the end of 2009 I caught him at the House Of Blues on an ugly snowy night and he delivered one of the best shows of the year. (Peep the video here). He keeps up the good work with his newest piece, “Good Man”. And the video has a real cinematic tone to it. Plus how can you hate that my man Cutty from the Wire (Dennis Wise) is the lead?
