This is the new Dos Necklaces with Nicki. Watched it then went on a Twitter rant. Now please keep in mind I’m not one to deny anyone access to naked willing women because of my moral stances. My question was more about the state of the culture that makes artists and audiences alike believe that this is the only thing we are capable of. Hey Im not one to start any trouble. But you cant make a constant stream of songs that are stripper trainning manuals AND complain theres no good girls left. Never mind the whole sexist concept of the “good girl”. if these “hoes be actin up” its not cuz these nxggas be lettin em. Its cuz your dumb ass is teaching them to be hoes. on the other side of the arguement. Ladies I know the beats are good. but fam you cant ride out with that “they aint talking about me” attitude all the time when it comes to music. its a complex situation because we do want artists to have the freedom of speech to talk about the world as they see it. but cmon on slime! Damn it everyone aint trappin or strippin. Some of us have jobs b. the problem isnt that Dos Necklaces exists or makes joints like this. Or that people enjoy it. People like what they like. And maybe if we werent so stuck up and untruthful about how we operate culturally, sexually and politically we could have a better mainstream cultural menu to pick from. The problem is that in our major outlets we get what feels like a lack of diversity in music. Great music of various viewpoints exists. You just have to go find it.
