Joe Budden Confronts Consequence at Hot 97

In what might be the only confrontation in Hip Hop history that was executed while holding a mocha latte, Joe Budden has a talk with Consequence about his comments during a recent Power 106 interview.

While at Power, Budden was asked by the Breakfast Club, if he would do a song with the Queens rapper and he essentially said he couldn’t see himself working with him. Not really warm and fuzzy but not offensive either. Cons took offense once he heard of the perceived slight second hand and proceeded to rant on him as well. Apparently Joe isn’t about that talking on radio life. Both artists, cast mates on Vh1’s Love & Hip Hop, were at the Hot 97 for separate interviews. The Hot 97 cameras were rolling as Joe took the time to talk to Cons and his wife Jen The Pen about their comments. And awkwardness ensues. As Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg and Kayy Foxx look on the two discuss Cons comments. Joe kept it moving after speaking his piece, leaving the room after wishing everyone a blessed day. Its good to see civility ruled the day. Now the question is did Hot 97 violate a trust given that everyone seemed unaware the cameras were rolling? Let us know what you think.
