Without all the fanfare of a some of his pop hit creating brethren, Raheem DeVaughn has amassed a great body of work. Yeah Usher, Trey Songz and Ne-Yo maybe rocking stadiums but Raheem has been connecting with an intensely loyal fan base with raw and honest soul music. (To be fair and not make it seem as he has been toiling in obscurity, DeVaughn has gotten 3 Grammy nods). His smooth, smart and romantic Neo Soul has made him a fixture on the net through a stream of mixtapes. This new piece Heemy Taught Me , a bit of a retrospective of the ballads from his previous work, is no exception. The clip below, “BOB” gives a great snapshot of the project. Good work through out, Heemy is a great sound track for your “quality time” needs.
