Over the weekend, Velous (@VelousMusic) held a private photo and video shoot at Running Rebel Studios in Bushwick for his lead single “Undercover Freak”. The 20 year old upstart hails from upstate New York and is hard at work with the promo for his “Velocity” mixtape. A natural talent, he has created a personal formula which gracefully displays his ability to create a superb quality of music. Velous is intent on bringing a breath of fresh air to the industry.
In addition to his latest project, he’s currently preparing for a performance at Webster Hall on Feb. 22nd with Fred The Godson. Outside of his own project, Velous is responsible for penning one third of Syleena Johnson’s tentative acoustic album.
A collective of designers, including Royal Respect and Riche Threads provided his diverse looks for both shoots.
