Sean Kingston in critical condition

Jamaican-American rapper KiSean Anderson, better known by his stage name Sean Kingston, has been hospitalized after crashing a personal watercraft in a Miami Beach bridge.

At approximately 6pm on May 29, Kingston and a female passenger were injured when their jet ski hit the bridge that connects Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway.

Jorge Pino, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman, says both were hospitalized early Monday at Ryder Trauma Center, but he didn’t know their conditions.

Pino says authorities investigating the crash say “nothing at this point would indicate that alcohol played a role.”

A representative at Epic Records, the label where Kingston is signed, confirmed early Monday that Kingston was in a crash and “was now stabilized.” No further information was provided.

Just as news broke that their friend was hospitalized, artist took to Twitter wishing a fast recovery. Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Justin Beiber, were some of the first to respond:

Rih: “Sean we praying for u baby”

Beiber: “got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. a true friend and big bro. please keep him in your prayers tonight as well”

Nicki: “My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family”

In 2007, Kingston rose to fame with his hit single “Beautiful Girls.” He has also featured on songs by artists including Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
