Nothing gets past the internet waves these days including videos not fully realized. Earlier today, filmmaker, Mikael Columbu released a 30 second trailer of what would’ve been a 2-D video of Drake’s Take Care single “We’ll Be Fine.” According to Drake’s fan site, Word on Road, it didn’t come out exactly how he planned but still released the teaser of what it would’ve looked like (before completely scrapping it from his Vimeo profile). Even the fan website removed the link to the video.
The trailer shows similarities to Kanye West’s “Power” video and The Weeknd’s “The Knowing”.
I couldn’t really see the vision in the 30 seconds that was given and understand why the video may have been scrapped. But who’s to say this wouldn’t have been a great visual. I guess we’ll never know.
