After creating the score for Miles Ahead, a biographical film on Miles Davis starring Don Cheadle, Robert Glasper’s has once again connected with Davis’ label to create Everything is Beautiful. With full access and liberty to sample and restructure Davis’ songs, Glasper’s dedicated album is set to release on May 27th. As the track list hosts features from artists like Bilal, Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder, we’ve been blessed with yet another early preview of what to expect.
Prior to the release of “Violets” we heard “Ghetto Walkin'” back in March. Both songs compliment each other, and heavily contribute to an overall soothing feeling. “Violet’s” is a blissful track that mixes smooth vocals by Phonte, and a clean Robert Glasper ft. 9th Wonder production to create an ultra polished sound.
