RAMS Shoots Off Debut Project

Fear & Loathing

RAMS’ music surfs waves and his fans mosh pit in the reflection of his gold teeth.

His debut project, Fear & Loathing, is a 12 track album executive produced by Maka. The demeanor he offers shoots an interesting energy into the Boston scene, and while the new artist is just beginning his journey, the support he’s been receiving serves as a great boost.

I had the chance to see RAMS perform last week at Hard In The Paint’s “The Plug” event. The energy shot into the room turned the small, intimate Lilypad upside down during his short set, so to be able to listen to a full project from the artist serves as a great follow up.

Through a brief conversation on Twitter, RAMS stresses the different inspirations that sparked his new project. He made sure to give credit to Johnny Depp’s movie “Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas”, and sites his time living in a warehouse during this past summer as a heavy influence. The artistic, drug-filled warehouse was a spot where RAMS would meet with friends and reload the visions for his album.

A couple of months later and RAMS has an oil painting by NYC artist Triumph as his album artwork, and 12 bullets on SoundCloud ready to unload. Check out the project below. Notable songs include “Gone”, “Badmon” and “Drifting”.
