Kevin Hart Broadens Comedic Scope With New Lionsgate And Comedy Central Deals

Kevin Hart’s height has brought him many laughs within his career in comedy. It’s been one of the driving factors that’s helped him establish his strong relationships with loyal fans. You’ll either find him swinging his legs from a stool while on stage, or looking like a lego next to Shaq and Yao Ming.

His 5’4 stance looks minuscule compared to the NBA players he’s friends with, but the deals he’s recently cut tower over this big-money entertainment world.

Kevin Hart’s “Hartbeat Digital” has partnered with Lionsgate to create a video-on-demand service called “Laugh Out Loud”. The 24/7 steaming service will play all of Kevin’s content outside from his movies and on-stage comedic shows, and also include different original series. One series in particular includes Kevin Hart driving around as an undercover Lyft driver while hidden cameras pick up what’s going on. (Will he have an aux cord, doe?) Along with his own material, Kevin will also showcase other Hart curated programs and shows by upcoming comedians and social media celebrities.

As if the Lionsgate deal isn’t enough, Hart squeezes a little harder on the chokehold he has on this industry to develop two new series with Comedy Central. “Kevin Hart Presents:Hart of the City” is an 8 episode show that delves into the different comedic scenes within various U.S. cities, while “Untitled Kevin Hart Stand-Up Series” introduces up-and-coming comedians through six half-hour episodes.

Kevin Hart’s work ethic is scary. The man is on a journey to create an empire, and the deals and content he’s created is testament to his international success. At 36 years old he’s off onto creating his global legacy, and to see where he takes his brand after truly solidifying his worldly prescence will be as exciting as the new content he’s currently releasing.
