Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience Sells Over 900,000 in First Week

UPDATE as of 3/27/13: The official Nielsen Soundscan numbers were released today and confirmed JT sold over 968,000 copies, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

Looks like the speculation could be true. The internet has been buzzing about Justin Timberlake’s album hitting over 900,000 copies in its first week. According to the number crunching on Hits Daily Double, JT was just shy of going platinum in his first week, 980,622 copies sold to be exact [although the official Billboard Charts won’t be released until tomorrow]. But after a six year hiatus, he deserves to pop the collar on his Tom Ford “Suit and Tie.”

Collaborating with long time producer and friend Timberland on his latest album, volume 2 is rumored to hit stores later this year. He’s also gearing up for Legends of the Summer tour that he’s co-headlining with Jay-Z. From hosting Saturday Night Live for a fifth time to having Justin Timberweek on Jimmy Fallon’s late night show, I think it’s safe to say that JT is unstoppable. Now let’s see how many artists tap him for their album collaborations. I personally want to hear him and Drake being that Toronto rapper almost had JT on his sophomore album, Take Care back in 2011.
