Intimate, quaint setting at Soundtrack NY Studios set the mood for the meet and greet of international recording artist Jhayee (pronounced J.E.). The event opened up with the premiere of soon to be new dance anthem and video for “Mop It Up.” Intermingling with the crowd, Jhayee spoke briefly about his album along with sharing several remixes to the song including a soca version, a chutney version, and an urban version. Guyana born and raised, artist, singer, and songwriter, Jhayee, first made headway singing as a background vocalist for artists such as Brian McKnight and touring overseas as an opening act for R&B group, After 7 and many more.
Already making its way to the Middle East, “Mop It Up” will be one of his successful singles to date. One of Jhayee’s goals “is to keep the world dancing one step at a time.” So don’t be the last one on the dance floor.
