It looks like Drake has officially confirmed that his upcoming album Views From the 6 will indeed drop this April. The Toronto rapper put up a couple of pics via his Instagram a few weeks ago with just the ambiguous word “Homestretch” as a caption. Fans went into a frenzy speculating whether or not Drake was referring to his next album. He went on to confirm their thoughts with his next Instagram post of what could be the album cover with the caption “APRIL” underneath.

The only thing fans have left to wonder about is what will be on Views From the 6– while “Summer Sixteen” and “Hotline Bling” were certainly smash hits, there haven’t been any official singles released from the upcoming album. Drake’s long time producer Noah “40” Shebib told The New York Times in a recent interview that, “It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake…A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns. I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further.” While it sounds like we can expect a continuation of Drake’s signature sound, Views From the 6 will also give us something we haven’t heard before.

Fans can finally rest knowing that Drake won’t be pulling a Frank Ocean on them. The rapper has been incredibly busy, releasing a slew of hit songs like “Summer Sixteen” “Hotline Bling” and “Back to Back”. And we can’t forget the fire “What A Time To Be Alive” mixtape he did with Future. Most recently Drake was featured on Rihanna’s hit song “Work” which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. He also performed the steamy track with her on stage at her show in Miami on March 15th. Drake is incredibly smart and strategic when it comes to staying relevant so it’s no surprise that he’s got millions of fans eagerly wondering when his next solo project will drop.

You can watch the clip of Rihanna and Drake at her Miami show below. KBX will keep you updated on any other updates on Views From the 6. If all goes as planned, we’ll all be bumping the album when it drops sometime next month.
