As a member of NKOTB, Donnie Wahlberg (@donniewahlberg) might have one of the most loyal and connected fan bases in entertainment. Who else could use twitter to get a kidney? After a fan’s friend reached out to the singer/actor for help in spreading the word of her friend’s situation. Wahlberg shot the info out via his twitter. Calls started to flood the hospital where the fan was being cared for and six matches for a kidney were found. Good to see social media and celebrity put to good use.
Wahlberg and his team made an appearance on last night’s Dancing With The Stars along with their summer tour mates Backstreet Boys. The guys from Boston kinda bodied BSB’s performance on this one. Check the video below.
