It’s around that time where you wish you weren’t trapped in your stale ass neighborhood and were instead getting lost at a musical festival trying to finesse your way through an ocean of fans so you can get closer to the stage. Well this past weekend NWA, Disclosure, and their top artist friends made us all wish we had enough money to fly out to Indio, California.
Disclosure’s massive success has allowed them to have songs with just about everyone, and the group decided to bring their friends onto the stage with them for their Coachella performance. From AlunaGeorge, to Lorde and even Sam Smith, Disclosure pretty much had their own music festival within a music festival.
After Disclosure shutdown the main stage, Ice Cube brought NWA to the stage for a rare reunion performance as promised. Even though Dr. Dre wasn’t available to join the group, Snoop Dogg and Common teamed up with the icons as substitute.
Videos can’t do these moments justice. Every year the festival brings new surprises and on stage miracles, and I just hope that when I buy my ticket the festival has a few tricks and holograms on deck.
