The Artist Formally Known As The Kid Daytona has a reason to celebrate. Billboard reports that the Bronx MC is the newest signee of producer Harry Fraud’s Surf School Recordings. Daytona (as he is know called) is expected to deliver his Harry Fraud produced debut project later this summer.

The two have worked together before. Most notably Fraud provided Tona with production for “Low” and its remix with Jadakiss. Fraud has cratfed hits for a number of artists including French Montana, Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Mac Miller, Prodigy and Pusha T.

The good folks here at the #KillerCrew HQ have been big on Daytona for a while. Seems like Harry Fraud feels the same way.

“Daytona and I were always part of the same circle of peers and I’ve worked with him in the past. I’ve always appreciated him as an artist and respected him as a person,” Fraud told Billboard. “When Surf School became a reality he was one of the first artists I immediately reached out to. Daytona is a no brainer for me. He’s potential as an artist is limitless and our sounds compliment each other.”

The best by-product of this new association? Well new music of course. The duo gives us NYC-in-the-summer-sounding “Type-Ish” as the first look at the new collborative relationship. Check it out below.
