D’Angelo’s back in the studio & working with The Roots’ drummer Questlove
The Roots’ drummer Questlove has confirmed that singer D’Angelo is back in the studio & working on his 3rd album.
While in a session with D’Angelo, Quest tweeted that the follow-up to Voodoo has just begun .
“most people use midnight as a time to sleep. others are working on their 11 year followup. this of course being hour number one. #sqrntweet“
According to Billboard.com the album, James River, is set for a late 2011/early 2012 release.
The album has been delayed allegedly due to legal issue.
Personally, I’m ready for this 11 year hiatus to be up! I need another “How Does It Feel” video in my life 😉
