The push for Common’s tenth album Nobody’s Smiling has begun. A little late for our taste but better late than never. And to build up the energy around the project he hit the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” with Vince Staples for his album’s standout track “Kingdom.” Good move. “Kingdom” is the track that most long time fans have been gravitating towards. But the good times didn’t stop there.

During his recent interview with the Breakfast Club the Chicago native spoke on his desire to bring some of the drama from his acting into his performances. Who knew that drama would entail interpretative dance? Com hit the stage with a couple of dancers along with two DJ’s, a keyboardist and Jhene Aiko for “Blak Majik.” Not sure if the hooded and barefooted writhing on the floor works with this jam but check for yourself below. Leave us your thoughts on the album and performances.
