Fresh from an arrest at Foxwoods during a Diddy party, Jones was in Cambridge, MA club the Middle East to start his Vampire Life tour. Only three songs into his set (as you can see in the fan video above) a cup goes flying by the rapper’s head. Moments later the rapper’s crew is in the crowd dealing with the wanna be Roger Clemens. Jones was only 3 songs into his set when the show was shut down. Definitely a disappointing end to what was a highly anticipated evening.
Leedz Entertainment took to their Facebook page last night and issued the following statement about the evening.
The Jim Jones show was shut down tonight due to the Jim Jones NEED to instigate a fight cause some one threw a drink onstage. It was the most unprofessional display ive ever seen. In my opinion It was a media stunt to gain publicity cause of his love for drama. Luckily the Middle East security handled the situation and nobody was hurt or arrested. They contained a potential disaster and prevented any further drama from happening. Tonight myself and the Boston Hip Hop scene are in total debt to the Middle East staff.
