Beyoncé Releases Live Album Alongside Her ‘Homecoming’ Documentary

The leader of the #Beyhive includes a cover of Frankie Beverly & Maze classic with new project.

Beyoncé has released her Netflix documentary, Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé as well as a surprise new live album that serves as its soundtrack.

The doc gives us a look at the work it took to create her 2018 Coachella performance that served as a homage to historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Everyone was pretty aware of documentary. The album not so much. And while the album pretty much documents the live experience there’s a nice surprise on it.

Her cover of the Black Family reunion classic was produced by Tay Keith. For the members of the class paying close attention there’s a sneaky “Candy” by Cameo sample in there as well. The album also includes a rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Beyoncé and JAY Z’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
