Reminiscent of Jay Z’s “Dead Presidents”, A$AP Rocky, along with A$AP Nast and A$AP Twelvy team up for their newest offering “Presidents”. As the A$AP mob brings it back to tri-state area, the three pay tribute to the older NYC sound with this latest track. The crew raps 90’s references over a soft looping beat through their well known A$AP style.

The A$AP team has branched out far from New York with their success. From collaborating with London artists to being London fashion icons, the A$AP movement hugs all aspects of the culture. Their style offers something new and unique to the industry, but this track pays homage to their starting points. In a time where certain critics complain that New York artists don’t stay true to the traditional NYC sound, it’s good to see the A$AP experiment with sounds yet acknowledge the past. The strategy secures younger fans yet respects those who grew up in past musical eras.
