As Tory Lanez prepares to release his debut album, his project rollout continues with the release of his second single “Luv”.
The new track is quite different than “Say It” and interestingly enough tackles a very different yet recently successful approach. Tory has seemed to jump onto the dancehall wave on his new track by sampling Tanto Metro and Devonte’s “Everyone Falls In Love”, a dancehall hit that still rings hard as hell till this day.
It’ll be tough not associating Tory’s dancehall infused record with Drake’s OVO camp and the recent movement they’ve begun with songs like “Work” and “Controlla”. The two famous artists have gone back and forth dueling over originality, and we’ll have to wait and see how this new track impacts their feud.
