I remember hearing this song in a forum back in the early 2000s and I knew immediately that I was going to be a huge fan of Lupe Fiasco. I discovered all his mix tapes and became a super fan. But as with a lot of Lupe Fiasco fans that I talk to, my fanhood is is part-time at best. Anyway, popular Brighton producer El. Train put his spin on Lupe’s first official single and it brought me back to a time when I thought Lupe was the best.
