Who better for a good times track than G.O.O.D Music? “Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay” comes off Big Sean’s upcoming album Finally Famous. The track features a verse from Yeezy and Roscoe Dash is on the hook. At Hot 97’s Summer Jam, Big Sean explains why it was necessary to have such a playful track:
“It is what it is. It’s self-explanatory, man; it’s just us having fun. I feel like that’s one of the things that people, especially [in] hip-hop, sometimes forget to include in their music, man — you just gotta have fun with it. So it’s nothing too serious, me and him have tons of songs coming out. This is definitely one of the first of many.”
Big Sean and Kanye premiered “Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay” last week at Heineken’s Red Star Access event, performing it for the first time. It’s the perfect picker-upper. Finally Famous will be in stores June 28th.
