His high-powered performances and adventurous bars have been enough to keep him relevant after almost a year long absence. Although those who are aware of Caliph understand what that time away can mean, we’ve all been itching for new music.

Caliph resurfaced yesterday with a bear hug to New Bedford and Boston. His new song “Hometown” isn’t only a symbol of embracement towards family and friends, but it’s a glimpse into Caliph’s catalogue of stashed flows. The versatility and range of sounds are extremely wide on the new track, but somehow he manages to keep them all on track for one steady and consistent vibe.
