Rosewood Bape Drops New Single “Rec”

Rec-Rosewood-Bape

Boston rapper Rosewood Bape has given us some straight fiyah material for the summer with his new single “Rec”. “Taxi”, his track that dropped around a year ago, took the city streets by storm- Rosewood Bape has been on KBX’s radar ever since.

Bape’s sound, in general, is heavily trap inspired, filled to the brim with the hi hats, heavy hitting snares and 808s used so often in the genre. However, he still incorporates a unique feel into his tracks by adding different musical elements- on “Rec”, Rosewood Bape combines those Trap sounds with some wavy synths reminiscent of the G-Funk era. Besides the instrumentals, Bape’s delivery is smooth and his word play is on point with lines like “You speaking my language/ Rosetta”. “Rec” is all about what the lifestyle is like i.e a life filled with money, women and of course haters. Bape addresses them all on this track and reminds us that he’s coming for the throats of his competitors.

“Rec” is the first single off of Rosewood Bape’s newest, upcoming project which doesn’t have a name or release date quite late. Stream the track below and be sure to follow Rosewood Bape on SoundCloud to stay on top of new releases.
