City Slickers have finally dropped the follow up to Hurry Up & Wait. Hosted by J Saki and mixed by Nelly ProToolz, Smokin Cigarettes And Tellin Lies is front to back True Hip Hop. Capital J, Tommy Tony and Mr. Moses give you the raw uncut on every track. Original tracks produced by group member Mr. Moses anchor the soul based vintage sample sound of the project. Dre Robinson, Illin’ P and Shall from Jacob Family add to the work this time.
Capital J explains, “We wanted to let people hear what we had to say. Our goal is to put the Soul back into the music. We want that vintage feel without being nostalgic. Everyone wants to go back. We pay respect to the past. But we want to move the music forward.”
