Vibe Music Collective has been giving us some seriously dope musical vibes lately. The label recently released beautiful visuals for Cavalier’s song “Heavy Crown” and now another one of their artists, songstress Billzegypt, has given us a new soulful song that’s been on endless repeat since it dropped this morning.
“Bring It Back” is filled to the brim with intricately layered harmonies, some slow pulsating bass and a lone melodic horn that interweaves with Billzegypt and Iman Omari’s vocals. Billzegypt’s voice and her vocal style takes us back to the neo-soul era- Iman Omari‘s mellow, jazz driven production modernizes that neo-soul feel and gives “Bring It Back” a distinctly new, soulful sound. The track is all about loosing a lover and the struggle of trying to bring back those feelings once “the vibrations decline”. Listening to “Bring It Back” will pull at all of your proverbial heart strings but in a distinctly satisfying, emotionally relieving way.
“Bring It Back” is off of Billzegypt’s new project “The Billy Blues”, which will be her first release via Vibe Music Collective. We haven’t seen an official release date for the EP yet but hopefully we hear more from her very soon.
