Roc-A-Fella Co-Founder Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges

Roc-A-Fella records co-founder and longtime silent partner, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, appeared in court earlier today. He admitted to his participation within an illegal drug ring, resulting in him facing facing a minimum of 5 years, but up to 40 years in prison.

His federal charges include conspiracy and intent to distribute over 100 kilograms of Marijuana. These charges stem from an 18-month investigation of Biggs’ New Jersey home, which was raided in October 2010. Burke was the most prominent figure amongst the 50 individuals arrested for their drug trafficking operation that stretched from Florida to New York.

A stipulation included within his plead deal resulted in the forfeiture of his 2010 BMW, his home, over $660k, and $15k in seized cash.

Burke will be sentenced on May 18.
