Rihanna’s ‘777’ Tour Documentary Premiering on FOX in May

Remember Rihanna’s infamous ‘777’ Tour, where they traveled to seven different cities in seven days to promote her seventh album? Now, the concert documentary is taking flight but this time on a cable network.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox bought all the exclusive worldwide premiere rights to the film that will be out May 6th. The footage will take an in depth look behind-the-scenes of the tour that made history for this Bajan artist and catapulted her to her first number one album on the Billboard 200 chart. I guess you could say for her team…mission accomplished.

The notorious tour traveled from Mexico City to Toronto to Stockholm to Berlin to Paris to London, and making its last stop in New York City. Over 200 international journalists and die-hard Navy fans were onboard the Boeing 777.

The forthcoming documentary should come as no surprise for the Grammy winner who can now add to her belt, fashion designer, executive producer [of UK style reality show Styled to Rock, which will also make its U.S. debut on the Style Network later this year], and actress [Battleship and upcoming animation film].

2013 is already shaping up to be an interesting year for the “Diamonds” singer in lieu of getting back with Chris Brown to their relationship inspiring an episode of Law & Order’s SVU, and now being in the middle of her Diamonds World Tour.
