Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z to Headline Yahoo’s First Music Tour

If you think Kendrick Lamar’s takeover was done, it’s only just beginning. From his highly successful debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, to his Poetic Justice single (featuring Drake) going Gold and him being named MTV’s #1 Hottest MC in the game, he can now add headliner on Yahoo’s first Music Tour to his belt, ya bish (in our best Kendrick Lamar voice).

According to Rap Radar, the news was announced during international music festival, SXSW (South by Southwest) down in good old Austin, Texas. Yahoo! On the Road will kick off their trek in New York City on May 3rd ending off in London. Other artists include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, J. Cole, Frank Ocean, and Trey Songz. They’ll even have a yodeler on board. We like your style Yahoo!

It’s uncertain when tickets will go on sale but from the looks of the cities they’re visiting and the social media obsessed world we live in, it’s only a matter of time [days] before the rest of the world knows. Stay tuned for updates on Yahoo! On the Road.

The Compton MC has been embraced by the music world alike and it’s not enough to say that Jay-Z doing a remix of one of your tracks is a compliment.

But what’s next for the “Swimming Pools” rapper? I guess we’ll take front seats next to the rest of the world to watch it unfold.

And what about Hov, well let’s just say he’ll have his hands tied on several things as he was recently tapped to executive produce the Great Gatsby soundtrack. He’s most certainly not a businessman but a business man.
