As far as they’re concerned it’s over.

In a statement released to Associated Press, Jay Z, Solange, and Beyonce have finally acknowledged the video and say they are moving on from their family dispute.

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,” the statement said. “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

All three entertainers have been silent since the footage of what appears to be Beyonce’s younger sister Solange attacking her brother-in-law Jay surfaced and was posted on TMZ on Monday. According to TMZ the incident happened last week at the Standard Hotel in New York as they attended the Met Ball. In the video the three stars along with their party enter the elevator. After the doors close fists and feet starts to fly. Its unclear what incited the argument. Jay seems to exercise some serious restraint and at no point raises his hands to Solange.

“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false,” the statement continued. “At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

The Standard Hotel said Wednesday it had fired the person who they believe recorded the video and leaked the footage.

Hopefully this means that the internet can get back to important matters like Steebie J’s latest adventures on Ratchet TV.
