Unfortunately for Birdman, things haven’t been going that well for him lately. He’s still battling a lawsuit brought up against him by former protege Lil’ Wayne and rumor has it that Cash Money Records hasn’t been doing too hot monetarily. The rapper has most recently become the butt of thousands of internet memes and jokes since his now infamous interview on The Breakfast Club went viral a couple of days ago. “Put Some Respeck On It” is now plastered across every nook and cranny of the internet and it seems like Birdman won’t be living his words down anytime soon.
Anthony Hamilton’s backup singers “The Hamiltones” took it a little further and made a gospel version of Birdman’s phrase. They’ve done gospel renditions of some of Drake and 2 Chainz work but this rendition has got to be the funniest one by far. They add their well known soul and vocal harmonies but their talent does nothing to soften the blow Birdman will feel after realizing that “Respeck” is going absolutely nowhere for a while.
