It’s no secret that Bryson Tiller has become one of the biggest names in the music industry in the past few years. His first big single, “Don’t”, quickly propelled him to the pinnacle of internet viral fame and the singer kept the momentum going by dropping a few more tracks before giving us his debut album TRAPSOUL. It’s really no surprise that Fat Joe enlisted the crooner for the hook on his track “Love You To Pieces”. This track is one of the more romantic ones Fat Joe has released in a while. Joe bringing Tiller in on the hook brings us back to the days where rappers and singers collabing on songs about love was the norm. Joe gives us some sound advice and reminds us that ““Soul mates are like diamonds/You never can make them/You gotta find them”.
While the song may be new, apparently Fat Joe and Tiller have been in the studio together before. In a Rap Radar podcast from last month, the rapper talks about being with Tiller in the studio before he became the musical sensation he is now. “He was just dope. He was just sitting around with us like everyday and I got records with Bryson Tiller…He was the last n***a to come from the air, from the energy”. The Terror Squad leader also reveals that he tried to sign Tiller to the label but Tiller refused and went on to use the internet to establish himself as an independent artist.
