In the world of entertainment, the DJ has become the foundation of music culture as well as the party scene. Whether on stage backing your favorite artist, going head to head in a battle or rocking a party, DJ’s are at the epicenter of music. On Monday October 26th, Boston based digital magazine KillerBoomBox.com (KBX) will host the inaugural edition of their free monthly DJ cypher & networking event, The Workout. Designed to bring together the creative and tech communities, The Workout celebrates the DJ’s making an impact on the music you love.
“The Workout falls right in-line with who we are as a company and our mantra of ‘Unity Through Culture’,” explains G. Valentino Ball, KBX co-founder and Editor In Chief. “We’ve connected with some incredible folks on our journey as a start-up company and many times they’re completely disconnected from each other. So we wanted to create a space to enjoy life together and see what dopeness can spring from it.“
Curated by Jasmin Rae of KBX’s staff, The Killer Crew, the first edition of The Workout will feature sets from JAM’N 94.5/KISS 108 mixer DJ Jaz, DJ Real P, founder of DoItFoReal & creator of the popular OvaEz day party, open format turntabilst Bobby Bangers, DJ EDubble, co-host of JAM’N 94.5’s Launchpad & DJ for Joyner Lucas and DJ Esq, co-founder of the Table Manners collective. In addition to our spotlighted guests, the DJ community is encouraged to sign up for the open turntables portion of the evening and share their skills.
