As we shift into the digital age and say our farewells to CDs, Drake teases us a Room For Improvement and Comeback Season vinyl release on his IG.
This is a big deal for new age rap heads. Mixing moderately new music with old practices of listening is something to look forward to. A lot of the people that grew up to Drake might not have ever owned a vinyl in their life, but just hearing songs that raised you spin on a record player creates a nostalgic environment.
Drake’s success is colossal of course, and I think creating vinyls to some of his older projects creates a really cool element to his legacy. It’s also very fitting that Drake tucks these two projects deep under his bed as you never hear him speak about them. Creating vinyls for both mixtapes just add onto its exclusivity.
With Drake coming out with his newest album on the 29th, we’ll have to see if there’ll be a vinyl for VIEWS as well.
