LZRS TXN Introduce Visuals To “Own The Night”

Lazarus Taxon unleashed their latest video last week for “Own The Night”. The Boston/Austin duo send off flashback vibes through their entire Side B project, and fittingly enough, their video is no different.

“Own The Night” drowns itself in 1980’s sounds to create a fun energy, but Lazarus Taxon takes a different route when crafting the video. Being a group that’s heavily inspired by cinema, the team takes a storyline from a movie and apply it to the song as its visuals. Instead of honoring the enjoyable sounds, the visuals are characterized by disturbing scenes that ultimately add on a another layer to the song.

Not only does the video’s sense of time make sense thematically, I also think that it creates an intriguing outlook onto the group. The group sacrifices showing their faces and introducing themselves for creativity, which can be hard to do, especially for an up and coming group like Lazarus Taxon.
