Listen to 38 Tracks Of Dopeness In This Week’s #KBXSelect

A Playlist Curated BY Killer Crew 127

Truth is when our editor in chief G. first asked me to help create this list of the best of the Internets’ musical offerings, I never thought I’d be able to find five songs I liked in any given week, much less dozens. #KBXSelect has forced me to go outside my music bubble. (Which is the point of this whole KillerBoomBox mission I’m told/) As a result, just like you dear reader, I’ve been exposed to some great new stuff. I’d like to think that I’m bringing something new as well. Someone has to balance out some of that masculine energy. There’s only so many flicks of da wrist one can take. And if G. refuses to let me be great, I’ll just take over the whole list.

But for now, you’ll have to accept my Black Girl Magic in doses. Here are 37 more tracks this week for you to get into. We have inhabitants of your local Hot, Power or JAMN playlists like Wiz Khalifa and Waka Flocka right next to voices from the other side of the Internet such as Pell and Aluna George. Over two hours of brand new music.

Looking for lush, bass heavy, tracks? Check out new offerings from Flume or Jahkoy. Alterna-soul? Get into Jorja Smith or Jamila Woods. If rap is more your thing, don’t worry, we always have plenty of that. Black Madeen shouts out all of Boston, TDE’s Punch samples Badu, and Detroit’s Red Pill chops and screws what sounds like a jingle straight out of the 1950s into a moody and melodic declaration of discontent.

As always, we’d love to hear your feedback. Are there artists you’d like for us to look into? Are there genres of music we’re neglecting? Holla. Holla holla holla. And remember to include hashtag #KBXSelect.
