During the Boston stop of his nationwide tour, Ab-Soul sat with Malcolm Gray for TheNEHipHop.com to talk about life on the road. After speaking on songs he left off of his album These Days, the TDE representative talked about his relationship with Statik Selektah. Solo has worked with the producer before on a few a occasions. Their latest collab “Alarm Clock,” is one of the standout tracks from Statik’s latest project What Goes Around.
“Thats just my guy. He’s a crazy, crazy genius, man. he’s just an ill genius. Shout out to Statik. We got a lot more work to do.” he explained when asked about Statik.
Fans can only hope that the work results in full-length collaborative LP along the lines of Statik’s previous efforts with Freddie Gibbs and Action Bronson. In addition to the music talk Ab Dash spoke on his relationship with the opener for his current tour Asaad, connecting with his fans and his love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles.
