Statik Selektah scored a major win when Emeinem chose his beat for the lead single of the Shady Records anniversary compilation Shady XV. The producer must be in the Christmas spirit because now he’s shining a light on the Boston scene where he got his start with a new remix. He called on a cross section of the Boston area’s hip hop voices; old and new. Masspike Miles, Termanology, Reks, Ea$y Money, JFK, Smoke Bulga, Chilla Jones, Dutch Rebelle, Millyz, Slaine, Sammy Adams, Esoteric and Edo G make up the line up that expands over multiple eras and sections of the Town. This nothing new for Statik. His series of ‘City Of Champions” mixtapes always had the dopest of the city’s talent. Lets hope this song can give birth to a new wave of those joints.
