Snakehips Team Up With Anderson.Paak For New Song “Money On Me”

Snakehips has been making a name for themselves as a musical entity in the past couple of years. The London based electronic duo, comprised of Oliver Lee and James Carter, have recently done remixes of songs by artists like The Weeknd and Raury and have most recently collaborated with Tinashe and Chance the Rapper and Syd from the Grammy nominated R&B group, The Internet. The Snakehips eclectic mix of electronic and house music with sensual old school R&B elements makes their sound perfect for contemporary artists looking to maintain a connection with their musical roots. “Money On Me” is the perfect example of where Snakehips is going with their collective sound.

The track is an enticing combination of funky and spacey synths, Trap-like hi hats and snares and solid 808s. Anderson.Paak lends his high pitched, soulful vocals to the song and his voice sits just right on the electro/ R&B beat as he tells his lover to put the “money on me” as he comes up in the world. “Money On Me” is definitely a necessary song for your Spring and Summer playlist.

Snakehips are currently working on their debut album which is set to drop sometime this year. In the meantime, check out “Money On Me” below and take a look at their 2016 tour dates to see if they’re bringing their electro/R&B goodness to a venue near you.
