It seems like anything Drake drops turns to gold or at least becomes it (hence his latest single “Started From the Bottom” going Gold, selling over 500,000 copies). Drake has been speaking more of his mind through his music as of late. Despite what people think, Drake had a beginning too as duly noted in “Started From the Bottom.” Although some question Drake’s street credibility, he made it known in this freestyle that he doesn’t really care because his money speaks for itself. “5 AM in Toronto” finds the rapper flexing on the track, just a hard beat and straight bars, no hook. What could be seen as subliminal stabs, Drake addresses the club fight allegations between him and Chris Brown a few months ago to possibly his placement as #5 on MTV’s 2013 Hottest MC list.
