One of the best things about summer is all of the new music that drops, reinvigorating our playlists with fresh material that’s as hot as the weather. DJ Mustard is (and has been) one of the leading producers in the music industry and never fails to give us hit after hit. Now he’s back with a new, infectious track “Don’t Hurt Me”.
DJ Mustard enlisted Jeremih and Nicki Minaj for “Don’t Hurt Me” and the three of them together form a musical trifecta on a song that’s bound to become a summer hit. The beat is bouncy but simple, enhanced by Jeremih’s vocals on the hook and Nicki’s spit fire verses on the second half of the song. The rapper reminds us that she’s still at the top of her game, still a “super duper freak yeah/ like Rick James” and all these other rappers out there are her “sons…adding my rings up/ that’s Mike Jor-dan”.
The track is streaming exclusively on TIDAL but you can listen to it below.
