Rihanna We Found Love (Video)

Georgette October 19, 2011 Music Video No Comments

Rihanna finally released the visual for her song We Found Love. Besides the art direction, what resonated most with me was the narrative. It represents someone’s truth. I felt like I knew this story or saw it somewhere before. I like Rihanna’s music but wasn’t a fan of the song at first because I didn’t understand where she was going with it. The video really drew me in to “that story”. The visuals played on very real emotions in relationships…the fun times, the vulnerability, selfishness, love, and the dysfunction. Kudos to the director, Melina Matsoukas and Rihanna for pushing the envelope.

Talk That Talk comes out November 21st.
