Album release date: October 16th, 2012

Label: eOne Music/Blu Kolla Dreams

Released under his own label imprint, Blu Kolla Dreams, Bobby V is back with his fifth studio album, Dusk Till Dawn. Teaming up with longtime producers, Tim and Bob, ‘Are You Ready’ finds Bobby V very confident in his ability to entice his lover. Bobby V’s vocals compliment the beat very well. The album’s official single ‘Mirror’, featuring Lil Wayne, is the more up-tempo and stand out track of them all. Known for more of his entertaining [and at times reckless] lyrics, Lil Wayne kept it mild, allowing the song to take its own course. Not one to shy away from expressing his wants, Bobby V lyrically seduces, on tracks including the Red Café assisted song, ‘Role Play’ and ‘Put It In’ featuring K. Michelle.

With familiar themes of love, sex, and personal reflection, Dusk Till Dawn, still offers the consistency of his previous work. Although I would’ve loved to hear more production outside of the norm, Bobby V still finds a way to bring you back for more, whether it’s seducing you softly and/or making you feel sexy all at the same time. Play this album for your lover to set the mood or for those who appreciate good R&B music.

This past summer, I had a chance to chat with him on my show about making this album and finding love. Listen to the interview here.
