The Jackie Robinson story, 42 reaches the big screen

G. Valentino Ball September 23, 2012 On Screen No Comments

The correct use of music with film is amazing. Its hard to resist when you hear Santigold’s voice in this trailer for the Jackie Robinson story. Her chorus on Jay Z’s “Brooklyn Go Hard” is clutch. Absolutely not of the period of the biopic detailing the life of the man who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier but perfect none the less. Chadwick Boseman steps into the role of Robinson while Harrison Ford takes on the role of Brooklyn Dodgers’ exec Branch Richie. 42 hits theaters April 2013.
