More details have emerged concerning the Chris Brown and Drake altercation. Chris Brown was in his own VIP section at W.I.P. while Meek Mill and Juelz Santana shared a VIP section as well, in which Drake later joined them in. Throughout the night Chris Brown taunted Drake from his section supposedly throwing up hand signs while Drake continued voicing his dislike for Breezy. This led to items being thrown by Drake’s entourage (chairs, tables, ice, buckets, etc) and Drake was then removed from W.I.P. by his bodyguards.
Some bystanders sustained injuries, including Chris Brown’s bodyguard Big Pat, who was hospitalized briefly for gashes in his head. 24-year-old Hollie C., an Australian tourist who was hit in the head with a bottle, requiring 16 stitches and has filed a police report.
Both artists have met with the NYPD to share their sides of the story, and Meek Mill has denied any involvement, despite rumors that he initially started the melee by getting involved in a shouting match with Chris Brown before tossing a bottle in Brown’s direction. Drake has denied being involved in the brawl, and has stated he left WIP prior to the incident.
