Smoke (@SmokeBulga) comes through with a new joint…FINALLY! A follow up to his DJ Drama (@DJDrama) hosted Gangsta Grillz tape, just in time for summer. He collected all his features and connected with the Evil Empire to give us the heat. The striking part is just how many cats that Smoke has linked with over the years. Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Stack Bundles, Max B. And these are REAL collabs. No fugazi cut and paste jobs. Gotta respect that. This is proof that its going to be a hot summer in New England.

More self penned R&B heat from the House That Politics Built. This time produced by Nelly Protoolz. Amandi hits us again with more from his forth cominng mix tape. This guy is on a roll.
CITY SLICKERS - Hurry Up And Wait (Mixtape)
What happens when you take a double dose of consciousness and style then mix it with soul? You get 3 MC’s committed to bringing you real lyrics from a true Hip Hop perspective. You get real talk with filled with intelligence. You get the City Slickers. Capital J, T Hustle, and Mr. Moses have a simple mission. They want to change your perception of what hot is, one rhyme at a time. Their newest project Hurry Up & Wait is potent mix of beats, rhymes & life from some of the scene’s newest and vibrant voices. The good, the bad, the triumphs and the defeats all get told by their ghetto philosopher point of view. Never too mainstream for the underground or to underground for the mainstream, City Slickers are about creating 100% authentic Hip Hop.
This is like an edition of Marvel Team Up for the Boston Underground. Pollymore Music Group connects with the Brick Records and the good folks at Thats Major to present the City Slickers. A lot of these tracks are these dudes goin’ in! I know. Crazy concept. Rappers who just rap. NIIICE. But I’m biased. My name is on one of the choruses. So I have to like it. Even so its good business. Tell a friend. Its going to be an interesting Summer. HA!

COOKING WITH CRUSH Ep1 & 2
Episode 2
Episode 1
“Scallops? Whatever I’m rocking with these steak tips. You’re BUGGIN’”
Anyone who knows rapper/producer Crush One knows he hasn’t come to a healthy lifestyle just recently. He was always the one looking for an alternative to the trash we put in our bodies on the reg. So it wasn’t a big leap when he took that healthy lifestyle and started his natural juice company JuiceHugger. The lifestyle company focuses on trying to help us all stop being such slobs. And he must be doing a good job if he is getting my former boulder like self into motion. Take a look at his web series Cooking With Crush where he dispenses some great advice.
TONY WILLIAMS - Finding Dakota Grey
Just 27 tracks of quality music. With this and the Cons tape dropping this is where I should say, “Looks like the making of G.O.O.D. summer for music.” We will leave that to the hacks. HA!
Hip Hop legend Rakim talks with G. Valentino Ball
I got a chance to sit with one of the G.O.A.T.’s of Hip Hop, Rakim during his latest tour stop in the Bean. Great convo and concert footage. The God drops jewels as always on everything from who he thinks is hot to why he still wants to drop albums in a stanky leg loving world. Shout out to Hek and the good people at 617Live TV. Good work my friend.
Joell Ortiz Ft. Novel - Call Me [Video]
Directed by Rik Cordero, this is a serious throwback. Joell breaks down a story of teenage love. This one will do the heart good. This is the kind of stuff I want to hear on the radio. Good work Mr. Ortiz. Good work indeed.
STATIK SELEKTAH x BUN B - 617 LIVE Interview w/ G. Valentino Ball
So I’m working on getting my on camera interview game up. To do so, I connected with the good people of 617 Live TV and got a chance to build with Statik Selektah and Hip Hop legend Bun B. At the listening party for Statik’s new album, 100 Proof: The Hangover, we talked about the work they’re doing together and how to make it in a digital age. Feel free to pass this on. Shout out to my 617 Live family.
Everybody HATES Greg: Party & Soundtrack

So I’m having a little party for my birthday. Thanks to the good people at the Tavern, R.O.B., So Good Entertainment and Justin Springer for opening their doors. Live performances from Amandi Music, City Slickers and Dre Robinson backed by a band. Then the PD of Hot 97 Boston, the Heavy Hitter DJ Chubby Chub, takes over to kill the turn tables. That combined with a bunch of my rapping friends and nothing but fun can be had.
Of course since we are about music, I wanted to give yall a little. The good people at Pollymore music along with Thats Major put together a compilation of the performing artists. Favorite joints from Dre Robinson, Amandi and City Slickers. Download and enjoy!
